Born in Chicago, Illinois
Resided in Aurora, Illinois

Walter Scott Kacz, 64, went to be with our Lord March 6, 2020 following a long battle with cancer. Born and raised in Chicago, he leaves his wife of 33 years Carol Anne (Lipke) Kacz; his daughters Lauren (Steven) Zucker, and Stephanie and Kelsey Kacz; his brother Mark (Kim) Kacz; a niece Holly Hansen; and nephews Philip Kacz, Robert Spreenberg, Steve Spreengo, and Mark and Erik Sudds,. He was preceded by his parents Irene and Walter Kaczkowski and stepmother Florence Kaczkowski.
After graduating Kennedy High School, he attended Western Illinois University and graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He later earned a Masters in Telecommunication from DePaul University. He retired from W. W. Grainger after 25 years at which he was the first employee to achieve Project Management Professional certification.
He was devoted to his family, loved to cook and travel, and planned many fun family vacations. He had a strong faith in Jesus which he passed on to his children, and also a quick sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 14 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 815 South Washington Street, Naperville, IL. A light lunch will be served immediately following at the church. All are welcome.
