Born in Chicago
Resided in Elgin, Illinois

Toni B. Komotos (nee Waldmann), age 70 of Elgin, IL passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Born December 28, 1949 in Chicago, IL, Toni was predeceased by her parents George and Gisela, and sisters Anita and Karen. She is survived by her daughters Jeri (Bob), Krissy (Steve), Katie (Tony), sister Sue (Ron), grandchildren Jordyn, Kyle, Sydney, Parker, Anthony, Ellisyn, Emmett, Vincent and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Toni was an avid gardener and loved brightening up her yard each spring with expansive gardens. She also enjoyed crafting and was a whiz with a glue gun - she was able to turn anything from pine cones to plain old ribbon into gorgeous works of art. In her free time she volunteered for a local crochet group where she made baby blankets and hats for local nicus and enjoyed the camaraderie of her fellow crocheters.

While Toni had many interests and hobbies, her most favorite way to pass time was to simply be with family. As “Mom” she provided support, understanding and love, no matter what the situation, and as Grandma (or “Nana”, “Blue”, or “Grammy” as she was also known), she gave her heart endlessly.

All are invited to a celebration of Toni’s life, this Saturday, February 1st from 10am - 1pm at Chandler’s at 401 Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, IL 60194.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Toni’s name to The Lung Cancer Research Foundation, New York, NY.
