Richard Morisette Obituary

Richard "Ric" Morisette

July 20, 1953 - November 15, 2020
Born in Harvey, Illinois
Resided in Tinley Park, Illinois

The world lost a good one on November 15 2020. Ric Morisette, 67, had the biggest heart, brightest smile, and a sense of humor that bordered on inappropriate. He enjoyed traveling, making people laugh, picking on his sweet innocent “sissy”, and being with his grandbabies. He would do anything for anyone, no questions asked, and often used his love of children’s toys to make someone forget their troubles. His flirtatious, friendly nature drew people to him while his sarcasm and quick whit often had the opposite effect. You could often find Ric at home with his trusty sidekick Leo- an overweight lab that sheds profusely and naps like a champ. He had the diet plan of an unsupervised child at a birthday party and singlehandedly kept Budweiser in business. His greatest love, though, was his family. He never missed the opportunity to tell them he loved them, and made sure they knew he was thinking of them through spontaneous texts. His grandchildren regarded him as the greatest of the great, a claim many would not deny. He is survived by his amazing and ever so patient sister Elaine “sissy” (who, despite what you may have heard, was at no point ever his brother), his Brother George “the printer”, his equally as sarcastic daughter, Desi, her husband Adam (lovingly referred to as “that guy she lives with”), their 3 children Aubrey, Logan and Brynn and Donna, his ex wife and friend with whom he shared a mutual love and respect- and a pretty cool daughter, naturally. Ric was loved more than he ever could have imagined and the loss of him will forever leave a scar on the hearts of all who knew him. Life without him will never be easy, but it is certainly better having had Ric in it. It brings us peace to know that he is with his baby boy and all the loved ones that have been lost before him. Heaven just got a little bit brighter, we will love you always.
