Born in Chicago, IL
Resided in Lisle, Illinois

“Richard “Rockin’ Rick” Hannah died peacefully in his sleep at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL on June 11th, 2020 at the age of 65 after battling various health issues.

Rick is survived by his daughters Gina and Michelle Hannah. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Anna Hannah (nee Innocenti).

Rockin’ Rick was born on August 17th, 1954 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Lane Technical High School in 1972 and from The Chicago Academy of the Fine Arts in 1976 with a degree in Cartooning. Ever the “car guy”, Rick bought his prized possession--a 1974 Pontiac GTO--after seeing the car in Buccaneer Red on the cover of MotorTrend. Although the metal flake clear coat has yellowed and the red crushed velvet interior has gotten a little sun faded, the ‘NO NOVA’ remains in all its glory to this day.

For the last twelve years, Rick and his youngest daughter Michelle have volunteered with the Chicago Brushmasters, a group of sign painters and pinstripers who create one-of-a-kind custom artwork which is then auctioned off yearly to benefit the Ronald McDonald House.

In lieu of flowers, Gina and Michelle ask that donations be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana.”
