Obituary

Paul A. Lawrin, age 58 of Hampshire, transitioned from earth into the hands of God, on February 21, 2021, after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA-C). He spent his last days surrounded by loved ones, laughing and listening to stories of the “good old days.” Paul was welcomed into heaven by his late father, John Lawrin.
Paul is survived by Diane nee Reed, his soulmate, who will forever miss the love of her life. Loving step-father of Lisa (John) Janso and Andrew (fiancé Carley Becker) Braddy. Beloved son of Helen. Proud honorary grandpa of Oliver Sherpinskas. Dear brother of Terry (Dana) Lawrin, Jeanne Lawrin and Mark Lawrin. Fond uncle of James Lawrin. Dear uncle and godfather of Catherine “Cat” and Michael Lawrin.
Paul was born to Helen and John Lawrin on March 21, 1962 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Taft High School in 1980. He was always a hard worker; one of his first jobs was waking up his friend, Casey, in time for school. Paul spent most of his childhood on his parents’ porch with his siblings, and friends Casey, Ralph, Chuck, Theresa, Chris and Annie.
In his early adulthood, Paul became an ASE-certified mechanic, and also worked on a bachelor’s degree before founding and owning Diamond Powerwashing. He spent Monday through Wednesday in his bedroom, known as “the cave”, and Thursday through Sunday out on the town. He was the life of the party. While working, he met the love of his life, Diane. Paul and Diane were later married in 2005, when Diane was successful in getting him out of “the cave.”
Paul enjoyed spending time maintaining his 10-acre Marengo property and driving his prized Corvette. He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, spending time on the dock, teaching his niece and nephews how to fish, and taking naps on the deck of the Lawrin lake house in Merrimac, WI. Most of all, he loved his wife and family. After his illness, he and Diane enjoyed taking their RV on camping trips and spending time with family. He was often visited by his family, friends and his honorary grandson, Oliver, whom he loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers donations to MSA Coalition - multiplesystematrophy.org would be appreciated.
