Michael E Mika a lifelong Chicago resident and an Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the age of 73 due to complication from the COVID-19 Virus.

Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Josephine Mika (nee Bottino), three sons Keith (Kelly), Kevin and Kristopher Mika. Three grandchildren Thomas, Elizabeth and Joseph. His brothers Douglas (Maria), Donald and Kurt (Cecilia) Mika and Sisters Deborah Edmonds and Monica (George) Ceffalio. Fond brother-in-law of Anthony and Ben (Ivana) Bottino. Beloved uncle of a 2 nieces and several nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Priscilla Mika.

Mike was born June 1946 in Chicago. He retired after 44 years of service from Dana Incorporated where he held numerous positions in design, engineering and sales. Mike was a devoted member of the VFW and volunteered at the VA hospital in Chicago. He served many years as a youth football coach for the Portage Park Youth Football League in Chicago and loved to golf

. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mike with The American Heart Association or the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund.
