John Lawrence Giovingo "Moe, JL, Southside Johnny" died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 23 in East Dundee, Illinois. He was 53 years old.

John was born on April 13, 1965 in Hammond, IN, to his parents, Ann Tirpak and John Giovingo. He was the eldest grandson of eleven grandchildren to grandparents Johnnie Ruth and Lawrence Giovingo.
