Carlos Guerra, age 92, of Romeoville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Beloved husband of 70 years to Consuelo Guerra nee Almendarez; loving father of Ron (Rio) Guerra, Diane (Scott) Smith, and the late Robert and Richard Lozano; cherished son of the late Carlos and Guadeloupe Guerra; fond grandfather of Lisa, Ronnie, Michael, Kyle (Ashley), Ryan, Dana (Anthony), Shane (Marisa), Robert (Marilyn) Jr., Gina, and Deana (Carlos); proud great grandfather of 15; dear great great grandfather of 2; beloved brother of Bonnie Esparza, Gabriel Guerra and the late Manuel and Tony Guerra; fond uncle of many.

Carlos enjoyed running his own business as a silk screen printer. He proudly served in the Navy during World War II. During his free time he cheered for the Chicago White Sox baseball team.

Richard Lozano, Carlos's son, age 71, has also passed away on November 27, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He left behind his mother Consuelo Guerra nee Almendarez and siblings Ron (Rio) Guerra and Diane (Scott) Smith.

Before his passing, Richard fulfilled his dream of living in Las Vegas, where he enjoyed gambling and the general atmosphere. He also was passionate about golfing, the Chicago Cubs and traveling. Richard was a very proud two term Vietnam Veteran. Both Richard and his father will be missed by many family members and friends.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 505 Kingston Dr., Romeoville, IL 60446, on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 10:00AM. Carlos and his recently late son, Richard, will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery following the mass at 12:30PM.
