Born in Evanston, Illinois
Resided in West Chicago, IL

Our beloved mother, Bonnie Jean Price, made her final journey home Tuesday, March 17, 2020. “Granny” was a vibrant, joyous woman whose loving legacy is felt by her family and friends. A long time resident of Naperville, Illinois, Bonnie earned a master’s in social work from the University of Chicago in 1973 and worked in private practice as a therapist for many years. She was born 1930 in Evanston, Illinois, where she grew up, attended Roycemore School and eventually Northwestern University before marrying Tom Hellyer and producing four children: Cindy Hellyer Heinz [Earl Heinz], Tom Hellyer [Cheryl Hellyer], John Hellyer [Sandy Hellyer] and David Hellyer [Vicki Hellyer]. Her life is celebrated by 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren and her dearest friend Judy Hopper [Ken Hopper].

“Goodbyes have never been easy between us. Reaching the great sleep, the sun has set on a life well lived. The memory of your sparkly blue eyes, warm smile and rosy cheeks will bring light to the darkest times. You live on in our memories until our own sun sets. Sending you eternal love and gratitude for being the matriarch of our family; inspiration and friend to your children, grand, great and great-great grandchildren. Rest in Peace, my lovely Granny.”
